..rocks in more ways than just rock n roll. They posted about us on FB to, like, thousands of fans. WE LOVE THEM! Go on FB and search for CAKE music, Like them, and join the conversation. xoox
First, a big shout out of THANKS to those who have supported thus far. This is truly humbling…and fun!
Second, I’m excited to announce that Gene Hamm, who will be doing animation for the movie, will be offering Live Skype Caricature Portraits to backers who donate over $100! You will get to meet the animator over Skype, and you will watch your portrait come to life right on your computer screen! Then he will send you the final product over email for you to keep.
How fun is that!!! Check out Gene’s work on http://www.hammcamcaricatures.com/.
And get this: for every $100, you get to add a person (up to 5 people). This way, you can have a family portrait made if you want.
Folks who have already donated are eligible! So if you backed at $100 and up, congrats, you get to be drawn! If you donated less, no worries — contribute the difference and you are in!
And keep spreading the word. Gene likes to draw. It will only happen when we hit $10,000!
I may have found one today thanks to the guys at www.bicicoop.org in Birmingham…and good timing.
I just want trees, people, bikes, buses, cars, and buildings to live together in harmony. Don’t you?
woohoooo! I woke up this morning to see that CarLess in L.A. made it over the $5000 mark in the Kickstarter campaign.
Let’s keep talking about it! I really believe this movie has the potential to inspire the development of more people/bike/bus/metro-friendly cities throughout the world.
CAKE’s song Long Line of Cars would be PERFECT for CarLess in L.A. Almost eerily perfect.
This was an idea for the CarLess in L.A. T-shirt. I want one of these! I think it’s great…. But the idea is already taken… Hmmm. What else can we come up with the get the message out BIG?
Almost a quarter funded in less than 24 hours???? I am flabbergasted! Every little bit helps so thank you! If every one of my FB friends donated $10, CarLess in L.A. would be funded!
